Even though this is not a politcial blog, on this election day I thought I would offer some
of my favorites quotes that have inspired me or I simply find interesting from past
presidents. In no particular order.

"Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, though you may cherish the sweetest
reflection that your vote is never lost." - John Quincy Adams

"Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him
power." - Abraham Lincoln

" 'Tis better to be silent and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt." - Abraham

"That some should be rich, shows that others may become rich, and hence, is just
encouragment to industry and enterprise." - Abraham Lincoln

"You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time,
but you can not fool all of the people all of the time." Abraham Lincoln

"Assoiciate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputaion for 'tis
better to be alone than in bad company." George Wasington

"But a Constitution of Goverment once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty,
once lost, is lost forever." - John Adams

"There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free goverment ought to be trust no man
living with power to endanger the public liberty." John Adams

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing
armies." Thomas Jefferson

"We in America do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority
who participate." Thomas Jefferson

"Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends [life, liberty, and the
pursuit of happiness] it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to
institute new government..." Thomas Jefferson (Declaration of Independence)

"It is difficult for men in high office to avoid the malady of self-delusion." Calvin Coolidge

"Actions speak louder than words." Theodore Roosevelt

"Government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem." Ronald Reagan

There are so many more, but that'll do for now. Thanks for reading.
